DESCRIPTION:The webinar\, jointly hosted by the DVB Project and the HbbTV Association\, focuses on the coexistence of DVB and HbbTV technologies in TV systems\, both now and in future developments. \nKey topics: \nThe most relevant DVB technologies for HbbTV: \n\nContent delivery technologies overview (DVB-T/S/C/I)\nDVB-I\, DVB-TA and TA with DVB-I\nA glance to the future: DVB-I on 5G\n\nHbbTV technologies: \n\nThe importance of the liaison with the DVB for the TV system (coexistence\, completeness\, integration of services)\nHow HbbTV defines and maintains its own technology\nWhat’s next on the radar?\n\nThe presentation is followed by a Q&A session. \nPresenters:\nPeter MacAvock (Head of Delivery\, Platforms and Services\, EBU Technology and Development\, DVB Chairman) \nPeter Lanigan (Senior Manager\, Standardisation\, TP Vision) \nPeter MacAvock is Head of Delivery\, Platforms and Services\, EBU Technology and Development\, and DVB Chairman. At the EBU\, he heads the team responsible for innovation projects relating to delivery technologies\, spectrum management and software platforms. Among other things\, he is responsible for spectrum matters and high-level projects related to Hybrid Radio and Television including HbbTV\, DVB\, RadioDNS and others. In July 2016\, he was elected Chairman of the DVB Project\, and retains a role as co-chair of the HbbTV Requirements Group. He is an Irish national living and working in Switzerland. \nPeter Lanigan works in various standards bodies and other industry associations on behalf of TP Vision\, the manufacturer of Philips TVs for Europe and a number of other territories. Topics covered include broadcast and IP technologies\, smart TV\, advanced picture quality\, content security\, and national and European regulation.
