DESCRIPTION:The Spanish hybrid TV platform LOVEStv is an initiative by the main Spanish TV broadcasters (Atresmedia\, Mediaset España\, RTVE)\, offering catch-up\, start over and other features like recommendations\, subtitles\, multiple audio tracks\, DRM and metrics. Two years after launch\, LOVEStv is now being used on millions of TV sets in Spain. In this webinar Xavi Redon from Cellnex Telecom will explain how the system works\, how it is managing advertising and data protection\, what the operators have learnt from audience feedback and describe the future plans for the platform regarding companion screens\, operator apps and targeted advertising. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. \nPresenter: \nXavi Redon\, Senior Product Manager\, Product Strategy and Innovation Direction\, Cellnex Telecom; Steering Group member and Treasurer\, HbbTV Association; Associate Professor\, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona \nXavi Redon plays an active role in the DTT evolution in Spain. It is followed by a Q&A session. \nDr Bob Campbell is Director of Engineering at Eurofins Digital Testing. He is responsible for the delivery of products including its CI+ Test Tool\, Ligada HbbTV test harness and HbbTV Test Suites used around the world. Bob is also responsible for Eurofins’ participation in a wide range of standards bodies and is the company’s representative at the HbbTV Association Steering Group\, CTA WAVE\, ATSC and a number of other organisations. Prior to joining Eurofins\, Bob worked in a variety of industries including at IBM and Siemens Rail and holds a PhD from Bristol University. \nNguyen Thi Thanh Van is Head of TV Interactive Middleware Development at Samsung R&D Institute. Van joined Samsung in 2007 and was responsible for cooperation with regulators and standards bodies on digital media regulation and standardization in CEE and Africa until 2014. In her current capacity\, she is leading an Interactive MW development team. Van has been involved with HbbTV Testing Group since 2011\, where she was a Group Vice-Chair from 2013 to 2018 and a Group Chair since 2018. DESCRIPTION:Both DVB and HbbTV have recently published their complementary technical specifications for targeted advertising. These specifications are now available to anyone within the industry wishing to implement the DVB-TA framework. \nThis opens the door for broadcasters and the advertising industry to create opportunities in a space that has until now been largely restricted to the internet and streaming services. \nThis webinar will provide an overview of the new DVB-TA specifications covering signalling\, interfacing to an ad decisioning server\, and preparation of media\, and explain how they are complemented by the related HbbTV specification.
