He represents the BBC in several HbbTV groups and has been one of the main contributors to the new HbbTV Operator Application specification. \nJames Jackson is the Director of Technical Strategy at Everyone TV where he is responsible for the technical architecture supporting the Freeview and Freesat television platforms. His work has included leading the technical development and operation of the Freeview Play service since 2016 to build the world’s largest HbbTV platform and his current role in ensuring the technical design and delivery of the UK’s new Freely TV service. \nJeff Hunter is the Chief Architect at YouView TV Limited\, having helped to set up the business in 2010. This week-long event will include the HbbTV Testing event. \nThe 14th edition of the Plugfest will take place from Monday\, February 26\, to Wednesday\, February 28\, at the DTG offices in London\, UK. He has 25 years of experience in the TV and set-top box industry with companies including Philips\, Trident\, IP4\, EKT\, and now OBS. At OBS Jason has overseen projects to develop an open source HbbTV solution for OEMS (The Open Red Button project – ORB) and provided several contributions to the HbbTV Test Suite\, the most recent being for 2.0.4 features such as DVB-I and accessibility. \nJuha Joki has over 20 years of experience in DVB and HbbTV technologies. Currently he is in charge of DVB broadcast products and testing and certification services for DVB and HbbTV at Sofia Digital. He has also overseen the HbbTV DASH DRM and DVB-I Reference Application projects at Sofia Digital\, and is currently working with DVB-I and Operator App related projects. As always\, it is aimed at device manufacturers\, broadcasters\, technology providers\, platform operators\, research and development institutions and standardisation bodies. \nPlease note that participation in all events requires prior registration\, and participation in the Plugfest requires signing our participant agreement\, which guarantees strict confidentiality.
