Stazione Marittima, Molo Angioino, Naples, Italy
The 11th HbbTV Symposium and Awards on November 28-29, 2023 will provide a unique platform to present and discuss the latest developments in the connected TV industry.
The annual key industry summit, targeting platform operators, broadcasters, advertisers and adtechs, standards organisations and technology companies, will be co-hosted with Comunicare Digitale, an Italian association for the development of digital television.
The HbbTV Symposium conference will for the first time be split into a traditional format with keynotes, presentations and round tables on the first day while the second day will host an unconference in which the participants will decide about the agenda, topics and discussions, actively shaping and driving the conference sessions and conclusions.
The event will also host the 6th edition of the HbbTV Awards, featuring a wide range of categories designed to acclaim best practice and excellence in the HbbTV community.
Location
Stazione Marittima di Napoli
The 11th HbbTV Symposium and Awards will take place at the Naples Maritime Station, a modern congress and exhibition centre located in the port area of Naples at the Mediterranean Sea. The venue will provide an excellent base for the conference, sponsors’ booths, HbbTV Awards ceremony and, of course, networking.
The maritime station of Naples is located on the Angioino pier of the port of the city and hosts the port terminal.
After the unification of Italy, the port of Naples was considerably enlarged and strengthened. However, the absence of a building to welcome passengers departing and arriving at the port weighed heavily. This shortcoming was only remedied at the end of the 19th century when the maritime station on the Pisacane pier (originally known as a trapezoidal bridge due to its shape) was built between 1894 and 1899 based on a design by the civil engineering engineer Luca Cortese.
