DTG & DTVP Plugfest and HbbTV Testing Event 2026

The Digital TV Group (DTG) and Deutsche TV-Plattform (DTVP) are delighted to announce their joint international Plugfest 2026, and the HbbTV Testing Event in cooperation with the HbbTV Association.

Plugfest provides a dynamic platform for companies to collaborate in a controlled environment, testing and validating the interoperability of products, software, content, and applications. This is an essential step toward delivering seamless integration and an outstanding user experience across devices and platforms.

Interoperability tests will cover cutting-edge technologies including:

• UHD 4K/8K, HDR, and High Frame Rate (HFR)
• Next-Generation Audio (NGA)
• HbbTV, DVB-I, and HDMI compatibility

Who Should Participate:

Plugfest is open to all companies interested in validating interoperability with others’ implementations. Typical participants include:

• Manufacturers: CE TVs, STBs, streaming sticks, test equipment, AVRs, soundbars, projectors, monitors
• Broadcasters and platform operators
• Technology providers and encoder manufacturers
• Test equipment companies
• Research & development institutions
• Standardisation bodies
• HbbTV app, HbbTV OpApp, and DVB-I implementers
