The MPEG-DASH streaming capabilities offered by HbbTV, possible problems and how to detect and resolve them using HbbTV tools are the focus of a webinar you are welcome to attend. The event, organised by the HbbTV Improve Interoperability Task Force, will be held on June 18, 2019 at 17.00 CEST. The webinar will take place through go2meeting. Please register HERE to take part.
The tools have been developed by HbbTV together with DVB and DASH-IF to aid interoperability of content, applications and devices with their specifications, complementing HbbTV’s Test Suite and Interoperability Plug Fests.
The tools include the HbbTV DRM Reference Application, created to provide examples of how to implement HbbTV applications and DRM-protected content that has been tested to work on a wide range of devices in the market today.
Recently added to this is an extension to the DASH-IF Content Conformance Validator, which verifies conformance of DASH MPDs, segments etc. with HbbTV/DVB DASH profiles. The content validation tool was co-funded by HbbTV and DVB based on original work from the DASH-IF.
The 1-hour webinar’s agenda:
