8th HbbTV Symposium and Awards

HbbTV Awards Ceremony 2019

Following its successful inauguration at the 6th HbbTV Symposium and Awards 2017 in Rome, the HbbTV Association will be pleased to present the 3rd HbbTV Ceremony at the 8th Symposium & Awards 2019 in Athens. The contest showcases and celebrates excellence in the HbbTV community.

The submission process has been closed – thanks a lot to all having submitted proposals to the HbbTV Awards 2019!

The shortlist of finalists has been forwarded to a panel of industry experts who will select the winners. The finalists are (by category and in alphabetical order):

All shortlisted submissions will be judged on their execution, impact and innovation.

This year there will be 3 additional awards:

Judges award for best technology innovation in an HbbTV product or service

Judges award for most impactful HbbTV product or service

Best Individual Contribution to the HbbTV Association

Whereas the two judges awards will be elected by the judges based on the category winners and runner-ups, the “Best Individual Contribution to the HbbTV Association” award will be elected by all HbbTV members closer to the event; members will be informed via e-mail on the voting procedure. The nominations are:

The prizes will be awarded at a prestigious ceremony on 21st November 2019. The ceremony forms part of the 8th HbbTV Symposium and Awards 2019, taking place 21-22 November 2019 in Athens.
